Fat Quarter Shop Sew Along

Hi

Today I am sharing the tree skirt I made with the
Fat Quarter Shop sew along.
Below I have shared my affiliate links to the kit and to the
fabrics I used.
The fabric in the kit was not available at the time I made
the tree skirt.

Part 1 Sew Along process

Part 2 Sew Along process

I haven't put a hole in the center yet. I'm trying to decide if I want to use it as a table decoration or a tree skirt. I didn't put a slit in it, since we have a fake Christmas tree. I will just slide it over the tree stand if I decide to use it as a tree skirt.

I really enjoyed making this! I learned a lot with this sew along, as it is the first time I picked my own fabrics and it is the first quilt I have completed. Yay me!

Fat Quarter Shop Sew Along

Hello and welcome to my craft room!

Today I am playing along on my first sew along with the
Fat Quarter Shop!
I am so excited to play along using the Union Square!

I thought this would be fun and give me a chance to try out a new block and get more experience at quilting.

I have a plethora of fat quarters. So, I thought this would be a good place to start. I looked through my stash to find a couple of cuts that would go together, and lucky enough it was one of my favorite colors.

So here is my perfectly imperfect block!

Here are my two choices

Fabric one all cut

Fabric two all cut

Fabric cut and marked

Starting to go together!

My block completed
YAY! i did it! lol

Below you will find all the info so you can come and play along!
be sure to tag (#UnionSquareQuilt @fatquartershop)

Hillshire Farms Premium Carved lunch meat

    Hi

Today I am sharing the Hillshire Farms Premium Carved lunch meats.
I received 2 free coupons, so I could head to my Walmart and pick them up.
I purchased the Slow Roasted Seasoned Ham and the Oven Roasted Turkey Breast.

    Don't these look tastey?!

We like the convenience of these being in their own containers. Which helps to keep them fresh before and after your purchase.
And the containers are reusable, which helps to keep them out of the landfil.

The Slow Roasted Seasoned Ham was very good. It tasted like fresh cut ham on Easter day. It didn't taste to salty to us. We used it for sandwiches, roll-ups and salads. It is cut on the thicker side which we enjoyed, it made for a hardy sandwich.

The Carved Oven Roasted Turkey Breast was cut in nice thick slices as well. It is fresh tasting, but it didn't quite taste like turkey to me. At least not as I had expected. I thought by looking at it, that it would be like a sliced fresh sliced piece of turkey on Christmas day.

Overall they are convenient and tastey, My family has enjoyed making sandwiches with both the Ham and Turkey. I have even purchased more since they have asked for them.

Besides for you and your kids lunches, these are also great to take camping, on road trips or a picnic. The slices are perfect to cut up and add to a salad, which is the way I like eat them. They can also be picked up eaten right out of the container.

We also like that they are
    • minimally processed
    • all natural
    • no artificial ingredients
    • no added nitrates or nitrites except those naturally occuring in sea salt and celery juice powder.
If you decide to give them a try come back here and let me know what you thought about the Hillshire Farms Premium Carved
lunch meats. If you have already tried them, then add your comments below! I would love to here your thoughts :)

For reals, it is almost 2019?!!!

    Well, Helloooo!

It sure has been a while!
Christmas has come and gone and we are now heading into the
New Year! 2019!! Wow it is unbelievable that I have been doing this for over 8 years now!
I purchased my first Cricut in November of 2010 and then decided to enter the blog world. I started out so shy and quiet trying to make cards (which I hated) to making cards that I love. Then I ventured into the world of videos! Wow, me, making videos and actually putting my face out into the world for eveyone to see!
I am still quiet and shy, but boy do I love making crafts and videos! And, I don't even mind showing my face in them once in a while! lol
But only when I take the time to actually put on make-up and get dressed other than my comfy at home clothes! lol
I am a home body and hate putting on all the types of clothing that you need to wear out in public (you know, like a bra! yuck! lol)

Anyway, here we are heading into 2019 and I have decided to upgrade my Cricut to the Cricut Maker which I just ordered.
And, a few weeks ago I ordered the Cricut Easy Press 9 x 9 and the Easy Press Mat 12 x 12, both are on sale right now! (It's still in the box!!) So I hope to be trying out some new things and sharing videos of them as well. I am looking forward to cutting different types of material!
If you are interested in checking out which one I purchased here is my link to the one I purchased Cricut Maker.

While we wait, here is a link to my youtube where you can check out some of my videos. I hope you hit that subscribe button and ring that bell to be notified when I upload a new video!

Thanks for stopping by and here is to a
    Healthy and Happy New Year!!

Back to my Pink Lemonade quilt!

    Hi!

So if you follow me regularly on my Youtube channel, then
you may know that I have been dealing with health issues.
I started this Pink Lemonade quilt from Quilty Box, months ago. Maybe even a year ago! So I worked on it when I could and posted a video of it when I could as well.
So I finally am feeling OK for the most part, just not 100%!

So I finally got to work on it again. Here is Part 5 of the quilt.
Not much more left, so I am hoping to get it done by mid January, if not sooner!

    And
Here is the November Quilty Box Unboxing

    Kroger - My Sharing Magazine

    Hello

Do you shop at Kroger or another Kroger co. store?
Have you tried any Kroger brand products?

I have received many different Kroger brand products for free to try out through My Magazine Sharing Network. I have been very impressed with the quality of the Kroger store food items that I have received.

The taste of these items have been just as good as the name brand alternative. Next time you are shopping for your groceries, grab a Kroger brand alternative to your usual product and try it out! If you are not satisfied with the item look on the package for the quality guarantee and Kroger will make it right! So you have nothing to lose!

Here are a few items I have received for free. I have taken them to parties and shared them with family members. Everyone has been very impressed! Even, I am super happy with them!

So, on Saturday Oct 13 we were invited to a bonfire/blacklight party.  I thought this was a great time to share with my friends and make dips for them to try. I received a very generous selection of Save the Day Seasonings. Save the Day Seasonings are a delicious blend of spices, that are perfect for your everyday cooking needs!

    or
mix it into mashed potatoes or make a flavored

    mmm!

So here are a few of my group of freinds that I shared the seasonings & dip with!

What are some ways you save money?

    Hello!

What are some ways you save money?

Well one way I save money is I shop at Kroger.
I have a Kroger credit card which I earn points for using at Kroger, Kroger gas staion or anywhere else. I get more points for using it at Kroger than other places. The points are then turned into cash and Kroger sends me checks every month to use at Kroger.
So, what do I do with those checks?
I use them at Kroger to purchase gift cards.
Kroger has lots of great gift cards for just about any store. I like to get Joann and Michaels gc's so I can get free craft supplies!! lol
Sometimes I will get Kohl's or JCP gift cards so I can get some shoes or clothes. And, when you purchase gift cards you also can earn extra points!
So like from 9/12 to 9/25 you can load a digital coupon on your shoppers card and earn 4X the fuel points for purchasing gift cards! This is a great time to stock up on gift cards and save $ on gas all at the same time!

    There is still more!

While shopping at Kroger I also earn points toward gas! For every 100 points, I save .10 per gallon on gas, up to $1.00 off per gallon!
So with my family of 4, there is lots of grocery shopping to do!
I love saving the extra $ off my gas!
I mean we gotta buy groceries, so what better than getting free gas while shopping!
So when I check out at Kroger I scan my shoppers card and it keeps track of all my shopping and then I earn my points. The points are on my card so when I am ready for gas, I go to a Kroger gas station and scan my card at the pump and it gives me the option to pick my savings based on what points I have.

Here is my gas savings statement from Kroger!

So this shows that I have saved $687.32 on gas so far this year!
And that I had up to $1 off of gas this month and I have used .80 of it so far. Which means I have 300 points or .30 off of my next fill up!
Or I can pick the amount I want to use up to .30

So what do you do to save money?
I would love to hear what you do!

What do you do when you're not crafting?

    Hello!

So, what do you do when you're not crafting?

I would love to craft 24/7 but of course I can't do that! lol

So, in my spare time on the weekends in the summer we go boating. When I'm home I like to watch the Walking Dead and Fear the Dead. I am not a big TV watcher but I do like to watch a few things on occassion. I actually would rather watch a movie or YT.

So when I'm not crafting or watching TV I like to enter sweepstakes. I just recently joined a sweeps group and had my first real win!
I won a $100 gift card, a grill and 4 packs of bratwurst from Yuengling!
    How exciting is that!

For a lot of the contests you just enter your name and you're entered.
There are also text (SMS) entries (which is how I won my first win).

There are also skill contests which may be a photo, essay, recipe or video. These are typically judged.

So for one of the contests I entered, I had to post a photo
"Where do you go to get away? -Not physically, but Creatively".
    It is a vote contest.
So if you would like to help and vote on my pic, here is the link.
I am trying to win an iPad 4 mini.

    https://woobox.com/sdtyy2/gallery/W8ZKHjun-lA
You can vote daily until Sept. 21st. Thanks for your vote!

I also have 2 Etsy shops and a Square shop that I work on filling up with my handmade, digital and vintage items!
    https://www.etsy.com/shop/EStreetVintageMarket
    https://www.etsy.com/shop/LizzieLaineDesigns
    https://squareup.com/store/lizzielainedesigns

This is a little about what I do.
What do you do when you're not crafting?
I would love to hear about it!
