Hiya, So its been a while since I've been on here

Hiya, So its been a while since I've been on here.

Thought I would pop on here and post a couple of things!

1st is my son has started making machine embroidery files! And I do think they are so super cute.  You can check out his Etsy story

Milky Way Embroidery  here are his 2 newest designs.  Which I added to a couple of dish towels. As soon as I get a good picture, I will add it to this post!

And.... he is working on a Christmas tree, which will be out soon!

2nd, I started making memory bears!

My dad passed away unexpectedly in June 2020 and prior to that my friends dad passed away July 2018 who also was best friends with my dad.  So in 2018 I told my friend I would make her a memory bear but with my health problems it got put on the back burner.  So after feeling better, then losing my dad, I finally decided to make my myself, my mom and sister a bear from my dads clothes.

So here they are!

I embroidered the dates on the back of the ears and added the heart on the front from Milky Way Embroidery.

These are the clothes from my

dad and his friend, which is my

best friends dad.

If you have stopped by today, leave me message so I know you were here!

And thanks so much for being here today!   I hope I get to do this again soon, since I miss it very much.

I have been super busy helping my mom after my dads passing.  He has been collecting for the past 30+ years and now I am helping my mom sell everything to try and recoup some money from his frivolous spending.

Fat Quarter Shop Sew Along

Hi

Today I am sharing the tree skirt I made with the
Fat Quarter Shop sew along.
Below I have shared my affiliate links to the kit and to the
fabrics I used.
The fabric in the kit was not available at the time I made
the tree skirt.

Part 1 Sew Along process

Part 2 Sew Along process

I haven't put a hole in the center yet. I'm trying to decide if I want to use it as a table decoration or a tree skirt. I didn't put a slit in it, since we have a fake Christmas tree. I will just slide it over the tree stand if I decide to use it as a tree skirt.

I really enjoyed making this! I learned a lot with this sew along, as it is the first time I picked my own fabrics and it is the first quilt I have completed. Yay me!

Fat Quarter Shop Sew Along

Hello and welcome to my craft room!

Today I am playing along on my first sew along with the
Fat Quarter Shop!
I am so excited to play along using the Union Square!

I thought this would be fun and give me a chance to try out a new block and get more experience at quilting.

I have a plethora of fat quarters. So, I thought this would be a good place to start. I looked through my stash to find a couple of cuts that would go together, and lucky enough it was one of my favorite colors.

So here is my perfectly imperfect block!

Here are my two choices

Fabric one all cut

Fabric two all cut

Fabric cut and marked

Starting to go together!

Hillshire Farms Premium Carved lunch meat

    Hi

Today I am sharing the Hillshire Farms Premium Carved lunch meats.
I received 2 free coupons, so I could head to my Walmart and pick them up.
I purchased the Slow Roasted Seasoned Ham and the Oven Roasted Turkey Breast.

    Don't these look tastey?!

We like the convenience of these being in their own containers. Which helps to keep them fresh before and after your purchase.
And the containers are reusable, which helps to keep them out of the landfil.

The Slow Roasted Seasoned Ham was very good. It tasted like fresh cut ham on Easter day. It didn't taste to salty to us. We used it for sandwiches, roll-ups and salads. It is cut on the thicker side which we enjoyed, it made for a hardy sandwich.

The Carved Oven Roasted Turkey Breast was cut in nice thick slices as well. It is fresh tasting, but it didn't quite taste like turkey to me. At least not as I had expected. I thought by looking at it, that it would be like a sliced fresh sliced piece of turkey on Christmas day.

Overall they are convenient and tastey, My family has enjoyed making sandwiches with both the Ham and Turkey. I have even purchased more since they have asked for them.

Besides for you and your kids lunches, these are also great to take camping, on road trips or a picnic. The slices are perfect to cut up and add to a salad, which is the way I like eat them. They can also be picked up eaten right out of the container.

We also like that they are
    • minimally processed
    • all natural
    • no artificial ingredients
    • no added nitrates or nitrites except those naturally occuring in sea salt and celery juice powder.
If you decide to give them a try come back here and let me know what you thought about the Hillshire Farms Premium Carved
lunch meats. If you have already tried them, then add your comments below! I would love to here your thoughts :)
