My First Junk Journal!

So I have finished my first junk journal!
I was really nervous about making this, it was a bit out of my comfort zone! lol

But, I survived and am very happy with how it turned out!

November 2017 Quilty Box Unboxing!

Today I share my November Quilty Box unboxing!

I am fairly new to quilting. 
I have always loved the idea of making a quilt, but never
tried to do one. I learned to sew when I was about 7.
So between school home ec and my neighbor sewing teacher
I learned to sew many years ago.
I would sew small things like aprons, and little bags. Then after
I had children I again attempted to make them hoodies.
I loved how they turned out and my kids actually liked them and
wore them!
I was a proud mama! lol
So now that I have more free time since my kids are grown, I have
decided to give quilting & machine embroidery a go!

I have joined a couple of monthly sewing boxes so I can learn 
more and get some fabulous fabric, notions and thread.
I love these boxes because, I get to try things that I otherwise
may not have tried!

My first Mini Album / Journal

Hi

Today I am sharing my first mini album that I made using
some items that I got at Tuesday Morning!

I was nervous about making this album, but I was excited
after getting started and it turned out to be easier to do than 
I thought it would.

I am so happy with how it turned out! I love it!
I hope you do too!
It will be for sale in my Etsy shop if you are interested in it!

Please feel free to leave me any tips or suggestions on this
album.

Getting back to crafting

So in case you didn't know, I have started sewing.

Well actually I learned to sew at a young age. I made a couple of hoodies for my kids when they were younger. Other than that I have not done a whole lot of sewing in a long time.

I decided to get the Quilty Box to try out different projects
and to build up my fabric stash.
And the biggest thing is learning to quilt!

It has been a dream of mine to make a quilt.

Happy Mother's Day Card

This week for the Card Crazy Crafter's DT project it is 

"Anything Goes!"

For my card I used the sentiments from "Mother's Day" and 
the flower pot from "Pretty Posey" Cardz TV stamps sets.

I also used a digital image from the Bloobel monthly facebook progressive challenge.
I popped the flower up on foam tape.

I used Enamel dots and Wink of Stella on the petals.

I colored the flower with Copic markers and added googley eyes.
For the flower pot, I stamped it on designer paper then fussy cut
it out. 
Mary's stamps are so easy to fussy cut!

"I Love You' tag

Today I have a tag for you using the Cardz TV Stamps
"Mini Messages" stamp set. You can see them here along
with all the other awesome stamp sets.

For the background of the tag I used Ranger Distress Oxide in 
the color Fossilized Amber. I really love how this ink works.

I also used pre-made flowers from La Petites.
I inked the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in the color
Tea Dye.
I made the butterflies using Texture Paste and a home-made
stencil, cut out using my Silhouette.
I added some stitching with a while gel pen and a few pearls.
Then used seam binding that I dyed using Distress Oxides.

Be My Valentine

Today I am sharing my Cardz TV Gallery project, where everyday is a new project from one of my design team sisters.

I have used several sets of Cardz TV Stamps to 
create 2 quick and easy Valentine cards.
I used the "Basic Borders" Hearts to make a background
paper using Versa Mark Dazzle which gave the card a little
bit of sparkle (which is hard to see in the picture)
I also added some Clear Wink of Stella to a few of the hearts.
