A couple of last minute Christmas cards

I have made a few last minute Christmas cards, since I hadn't felt well for a couple weeks I got way behind on my Christmas cards (and everything else around the house). So I needed to make something quick and easy, I finished them today and here is what I came up with. Hope you like them:)

A little note about copic markers: Do not use them with black embossing powder, they will smear/melt the embossing powder. I found this out the hard way. If you do want to use embossing powder use clear.

Art Philosophy card feature pg. 58 cut at 5.5"

Art Philosophy decorative layer feature pg. 56, both cut at .75" then glued together

then using foam tape stuck it to the Tag feature layer pg. 56 cut at 1" and again

stuck that on the card with foam tape so it is double layers.

sheer ribbon is from Joanne's ribbon section.

Black & White paper is by Making Memories I think I got it from Michael's.

"Hope" stamp is from Close to My Heart "Celebration " stamp set.

I also Inked up around the edges with Stampin Up Pink Passion

and Momento Tuxedo Black.

My sisters birthday card

I made this tri-fold shutter card for my sisters birthday, it is on Monday. We were born 14 years and 3 days apart. I am the oldest and we both love purple.

SU Punch Bunch Owl Card

I got the "Punch Bunch" stamp set free with my $50 order (good til the end of the month) from Stampin Up.
I have been dying to use this little owl, I think he is so cute. The orange & flowered paper was also a freebie with a $50 order it is called "Ice Cream Parlor"
The pink paper on the second card was from Oriental Trading, the solid paper is from Hobby Lobby.
I made up the sentiment, been dying to use this sentiment with a owl. It was printed from my computer using Minya Nouvelle at 32 pt. the second one was 28 pt.
The blue ribbon is from Oriental Trading & the brown ribbon is from Crafty Steals.
The first card was stamped using Stampin' Up ink pad "More Mustard" the second one was "Garden Green".

I have made 3 cards

My first card is the accordion card, I found this on YouTube at Paynete if you would like to see the video click on the link. 


The measurements are:


5.5 X 11 in. cardstock
Score across the 5.5 side @ 1.5, 3, 5.5 & 8 in.
Then fold M, V, M, V (mountain & valley)
Then for the decorative papers cut at .25 smaller.
The wrap piece is 7 X 1.5 and the decorative paper is .25 smaller.
The punch on the wrap is Martha Stewart Edge Punch Traditional Scallop  and the stamp is Stampin Up - "So Happy for You" sets- this was one of the free with a $50 order stamps. For the flower I used the Imaginisce I-Top Tool & Imaginisce I-Top Brad Daddies Brad Blanks 16mm, for the middle and the Imaginisce I-Top Paper Punch 16-mm, Small & Imaginisce I-Top Paper Punch 22-mm, Medium for the petals. The paper is from Big Lots.

My second card is a matchbook card I got this idea from The Cardmaker's Workbook. I really liked this because as a kid I started collecting matchbooks it was a great way to get a souvenir from wherever we visited & they were free.


The measurements I used are:


8.75  X 5 Cardstock
Score along the 5" side at .5, 4.75 & 4-13/16th.
Fold all in the same direction to make a matchbook. For the outside, the first layer is 4.75 X 8", the center square (brown) is 2.5 X 2.5, then (green) 2.25 X 2.25 for the flower I cut it out of the paper that I used on the rest of the card, then for the very center I used the Imaginisce I-Top Tool with the Imaginisce I-Top Paper Punch & the Imaginisce I-Top Brad Daddies Brad Blanks
The inside paper is 4" x 4.75 & the inside strips are 1-1/8 x 4.75 & 15/16 x 4.75, for these I didn't measure the width I just cut them, you can make them whatever width you want. The eyelets are from StampinUp (eyelet stack bold brights #2) I have had these for a long time. For the flower & green center square I used StampinUp "Close to Cocoa" around the edges and used StampinUp Dimensionals under the brown square and the flower.
The paper is from the Paper Studio "Serendipity"  that I got from Hobby Lobby. I just love this paper because all of it coordinates and I have a tough time coordinating some patterns, so this really made it easy for me. This can be made smaller as well, and use it as a gift tag.

And for my last card #3, I made a Spinner Card 


The measurements are 8.5 X 5.5 folded in half to 4.25 x 5.5,
the first layer is 5.25 x 4 all paper is Bazzill Basics cardstock from Big Lots, StampinUp inks & stamps. This stamp set is an old set "Fish Frolics" which most of my stamps are older. My spinner section is 5 x 1.25 and I used the StampinUp word window punch for the slider hole. For it to slide take 2 pennies and place a large dimensional between them so it looks like an oreo then place another dimensional on top then place the "fish on top" or whatever you choose for your card. Then use dimensionals to pop up the spinner section then slide the penny in, super easy. You can also find these on YouTube just type in spinner card. 

I left my cards blank so I have options as to what I want to use them for.
